Overview

AVC University is a forward-thinking institution based in Liberia that offers graduate programs in cybersecurity and IT. With a mission to equip professionals with advanced technical skills, the university sought a comprehensive rebrand to strengthen credibility, attract students, and expand its reach both locally and internationally.

My Role

Lead Strategist, Creative Director, and Designer.

The Goal

AVC University lacked a cohesive brand identity and had minimal social media presence, low engagement, and no defined marketing strategy. With an
enrollment deadline of December 5, 2024, and no active student prospects, the university needed a complete rebrand and an aggressive, strategic marketing
campaign to drive awareness and enrollment.

The Approach
 

I began by conducting a full audit of AVC University’s website, social media platforms, and overall brand presence. This revealed the need for a complete visual
and strategic overhaul.

 

I then conducted market research to assess demand for cybersecurity and IT education in Liberia and the broader West African region. Using these insights, I
rebuilt the brand from the ground up—establishing a cohesive identity, clear messaging, and a multi-channel marketing strategy designed to resonate with
prospective students and position AVCU as a credible academic institution.

Deliverables

  • Designed a professional logo and comprehensive brand guidelines, including color palette, typography, and brand messaging

  • Created cohesive branding materials such as brochures, banners, stationery, flyers, posters, and event materials

  • Developed and implemented a social media strategy tailored to AVCU’s target audience

  • Established and grew AVCU’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

  • Created and published engaging content, including student success stories, program highlights, and industry-focused posts

  • Launched and optimized paid advertising campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and Google

  • Wrote compelling ad copy and designed visuals tailored to cybersecurity and IT programs

  • Produced professional video content highlighting programs, campus life, and graduate success stories

  • Created radio and digital ads to expand brand awareness and drive applications

  • Ensured all assets aligned with the new brand guidelines for a cohesive and professional presence
